The Trout Club is pleased to present Ms. Janice Kerns, Ph.D., Supervisor of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife, Fairport Fisheries Station. Dr. Kerns will provide an overview and summary of the recent Great Lakes Fishery Commission meeting of several agencies who discussed conditions affecting sportfish population in Lake Erie’s Central Basin. Current state of fish populations, Lake Erie “dead zones,” stocking information and trends, as well as monitoring and management strategies will be covered. This is an excellent opportunity to hear about what is happening at present in Lake Erie’s Central Basin and what is planned for the future of the Lake Erie steelhead fishery and more. Please join us in the Museum’s Rare Book Room for this interesting and informative presentation. Cost is $20 and includes light refreshments and a cash bar. Registration required as space is limited.
