Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you are all soaking up the last bits of August, the weather has been very pleasant and the fish have responded.  Delaware Lake was kicking out largemouth bass like crazy Tuesday night when we were there.
All that aside, Sept. is upon us and that means we are ready to get back to monthly club meetings!  Our next being Sept. 13, and our guest speaker committee, consisting of Jon Horn and Steve Parker have a special guest for this installment.
Dr. Rob Worthington from Lexington, KY will be sharing his knowledge of Tenkara with us.  See the links below to find out more about Rob.
This special presentation will require a special location, we will be meeting at the pavilion at Lions Club Park in West Liberty, OH which is on the banks of the Mad River and nearby Macochee Creek.
The address is:
576 Township Rd 174West Liberty, OH 43357
Just off of OH 245, you can’t miss it.
Bring a side of dessert or side for potluck, Jon H will have Subway for your main course, don’t want anyone to go away hungry.

April 12th Speaker

April’s meeting will be given by Ethan Simmons – ODNR

“Ohio’s muskie program: Creating the fish of 1,000 casts”

March COFF Meeting this Tuesday, March 8th 6-8pm

I hope everyone is outside today and not reading this email!  70’s and no rain! Please be safe though, I know a lot of reservoirs are releasing water and that can make currents swift and water levels higher than normal.

Was great to see everyone last month!  Jon Horn has another great speaker lined up for us this month.  Matt Parker, General Manager of ReelFlyRod in Bellbrook (just outside of Dayton) and local guide, will be talking all things fly fishing, SW Ohio River smallmouth bass and if we’re lucky even a little tarpon fishing.
Check out some more here:https://www.reelflyrod.com/matthew-parker.html

Social hour to start appx. 6pm with the program beginning promptly at 7pm at our usual Smokehouse Brewing.

We will have some raffle items, tbd, and while we don’t want to overwhelm you with raffles, this is an important fundraising component for the club.  The funds raised go directly to club programming and our ever important education component.

If we haven’t had a chance to meet, please make sure to find me and introduce yourself.  It’s your club and I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

Enjoy the weekend and we’ll see you Tuesday.
