Hello everyone, I hope your fishing has been productive. The bass have been very active lately  along with most of the warm water fish.

As you may know, COFF normally has  a  September meeting at the smokehouse brewing Co, but with the ongoing pandemic that is not possible

This year. However, we do have a great Fall lineup for everyone to enjoy. Next Tuesday (Sept 8th) at 7PM we will be having a great presenter

Via a Zoom meeting. Our guest will be Jen Riipple, Editor-in-Chief of Dun Magazine will join us next Tuesday for a virtual meeting sharing her expertise targeting Smallmouth Bass on the Fly.

@jen_ripple is an avid fly fisher with extensive fishing experience in both salt and freshwater.  Don’t miss this chance to learn from a pro, and pick her brain!

In October we will be having  Curtis P. Wagner,  Fisheries Management Supervisor, Ohio Department of Natural Resources as a guest doing a Zoom Presentation on Ohio Brook Trout.

In November we will Lance Egan, of Orem, Utah, a member of the USA Fly Fishing Team and well known euro nymphing expert talk about Euro Nymphing.

Also this fall we are working on a socially distanced casting outing. As the plans for this event become clearer we will post something on Facebook and our website.

As a reminder to everyone about Dues, last January we decided to better coordinate our dues with our first regular meeting in September of 2021.  No dues

For exiting members will be collected until 2021.

Hopefully before that time we’ll all be able to meet again at the Barley Smokehouse, but in the interim please try and get out fishing with a member. We are working on  setting up something on Facebook

That will allow people to find someone to fish with.

WE WILL POST THE ZOOM LINK ON FACEBOOK AND THE WEBSITE AS SOON AS IT IS AVAILABLE. I’LL ALSO EMAIL THE LINK TO EVERYONE AS SOON AS I GET IT.

I hope to see everyone next Tuesday!

Steve Parker

President, COFF

4/14/2020 Virtual Zoom Meeting with Jon Horn

I hope this email finds everyone safe and enjoying some great fishing.

Since we are unable to have one of our regular meetings, we have decided to

Have a virtual meeting instead. Our own  Jon Horn will be doing a presentation on

The Driftless fishing in Wisconsin. Jon has spent several summers traveling to the

streams of Wisconsin and will provide some great insight. As much as we would like to

Have a virtual social hour we will need to allow that for a future time.

The presentation will start about 7PM and we will be using Zoom to allow everyone to join.

How you do this is pretty straight forward.

You will need a PC, Smart Phone, Laptop, IPAD or MacBook.

Make sure your devices has sound capability and video if you want to let people see you when asking questions.

Erica will be moderating to allow people to ask questions as the presentation moves along.

Click on this link: https://osu.zoom.us/j/290282314

You will be prompted to download an app from the Zoom site or Google Play.

Depending on your device and browser the download procedure will vary. You might want to try this in advance to insure everything works.

After you download the app and run it you will be prompted for a meeting ID. Just click on the meeting id drop down.

You should see the COFF DRIFTLESS presentation. Click on it.

Then type your name.

And join the meeting.

Unfortunately we won’t be able to off much assistance if you run into problems since we are not Zoom Gurus.
